Rating Analyst
S&P Global Ratings is seeking an analyst to join its Structured Finance Ratings group as a Rating Analyst. The Rating Analyst will begin their career at S&P Global by participating in a two-year training program to learn the analysis of the five fundamental aspects of our structured finance framework: credit quality of the securitized assets; legal and regulatory risks; payment structure and cash flow mechanics; operational and administrative risks; and counterparty risk. The practice provides credit ratings of structured products that are backed by pools of consumer and commercial assets, including auto loans and leases, equipment leases, credit card receivables, student loans and personal loans in the U.S. and Canada.

Role Summary:
The role consists in leading and coordinating Sustainable Finance team originated research , done within the sustainable finance team or in partnership with rating practices and/or other divisions within SPGI. It also includes coordinating the review of ESG related rating research to ensure consistency of message . Sustainable Finance is an area of exponential growth of market interest and in which our thought leadership position is not as established as in the credit space. The Head of Research mandate will be to drive the quality, thoroughness and timeliness of our ESG research to both enhance S&P Global Ratings analysts awareness and assessment of emerging & complex ESG trends as well as to provide market participants with our views and opinions. The scope of potential research topics, which span across sectors, geographies and ESG themes (E, S,G) , will be very broad, not product specific, requiring the Head of Research to develop a clear vision about what is most relevant, prioritize and coordinate effectively and drive quality of output with a view to bring substantial analytical value to the market and gradually establish S&P Global Ratings as a true thought leader in the ESG space .
