Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Collaborate and coordinate with senior management, finance, global marketing, business development, and other stakeholders to help conduct portfolio review and develop and maintain Franchise LRP.
Provide strategic insights, financial analysis and other business inputs into key strategic decisions and business opportunities.
Partner with Business Development and I&I business units to identify acquisition/partner targets and conduct due diligence.
Proactively search for new disease areas of interest and new business opportunities.
Lead multi-function diligence projects to meet goals (e.g. term sheet, definitive language agreements and alliances) by leveraging relationships, motivating and influencing line functions.
Provide benefit/risk scenario analysis of business development opportunities.
Assess current and future competitors in relevant therapeutic and disease areas in order to provide analysis on competitor strategies, industry insights which will contribute to shaping the Celgene I&I strategy.
Provide analytical and decision-making support for strategic objectives and decisions by providing strategic and financial valuation models to formulate specific recommendations on strategic options and investment strategies.
Represent Celgene at external meetings, conferences, seminars to access new opportunities and to develop external network.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

10 years+ business development experience; Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Science; MBA preferred.
Strong project management experience.
Ability to facilitate/manage cross-functional teams, work in a highly matrixed organization and with strong networks within small business, university, or venture capital community required.
Experience in pharmaceutical marketing and/or strategy required.
Executive presence and ability to interact comfortably with senior management.
Experience developing and maintaining complex financial models.
Ability to work as a team player and collaborate in a very fast-paced environment.
Strong scientific and industry knowledge.
Capable of carrying out assigned functions independently in a timely and thoughtful manner.
Strong oral & written communication skills.
Advanced business knowledge in all of the following is needed to assess the overall value of an enterprise: finance, sales and marketing, operations, drug development and related functions.
Ability to constructively challenge various aspects of a deal.
Requires a strategic orientation and ability to translate broad strategic decisions into firm, detailed financial implications.
Demonstrated knowledge of external healthcare business environment along with an understanding of competitive history and ability to forecast potential next moves.

Business Development Executive

The Business Development Executive (BDE) is responsible for leading all aspects of business development/ GTM strategy for multiple Crowe industry verticals for our NY and Livingston audit practice. As a Business Development Executive, you will play a key role in future business generation by identifying new business opportunities through networking within industry. Are you up for the challenge? The BDE, working under the direction of our Northeast partner-in-charge of Audit, will focus on a defined list of prospect targets that fits with the firm’s strategic direction, as well as a select number of existing accounts where there is significant potential for additional revenue expansion. Additionally, the BDE works closely with local office partners to align pursuit efforts to target account lists and office priorities/initiatives.

This is what some of your work entails:

Identify, qualify and pursue new sales opportunities at prospects and select existing client accounts.
You will organize and execute a multifaceted sales plan, including cold-calling, phone, fax, email and mail campaigns, to effectively make direct contact with prospects.
Build effective and collaborative relationships with the key decision-makers within the prospect organizations.
Co-leading the development of Thought Leadership content and delivery.
Working with national marketing resources (MDS) to develop effective, targeted go- to-market plans for NY Audit
Partner with Audit Senior Managers and Managers to mentor and train on business development skills and work on initiatives.
Develop account strategy and plan that best demonstrates Crowe Horwath’s resources to meet the prospect’s business needs and issues.
Participate in trade organizations and informal networks to develop, build and sustain a robust set of professional relationship
In partnership with marketing (MDS), execute events and other outreach campaigns in order to identify and engage targets, and build the Crowe Horwath brand in the marketplace.
Understand the short- and long-term needs and challenges of prospective accounts and how Crowe Horwath’s services can address those issues. Participate with a team of partners, senior managers and marketing (MDS) professionals in the pursuit process that moves prospects through all stages of the sales process.
Negotiate and participate in pricing strategy to make Crowe Horwath competitive.
Bring to bear BOD relationships by helping to develop an effective program consistent with information availability in (but not limited to) CRM
Develop and effective strategy for both Alumni and Social media programs, consistent with Crowe firm-wide initiatives.
Lead the preparation of annual budget process for office and industry verticals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; MBA is a plus
10 years’ experience with proven success in selling professional services (not selling a product) to corporations with revenues ranging from $25 million to $1 billion. Big 4 or national firm experience preferred.
Looking for exceptional experience leading complex sales processes that involve multiple team members and decision makers (primarily C-suite decision makers)
Demonstrated network of COI’s (Centers of Influence) to include banking, legal and other professional services relationships that could be used to find opportunities within targeted industries
Your skills should include extraordinary communication, presentation, analytical and organization skills.
Demonstrated community involvement and activity with industry associations, civic and/or non-profit groups is helpful
