Private Funds Group — Investment Banking — VP/Director
We are currently seeking a Director / VP to work in Citi’s Private Funds Group in New York.
Citi’s Private Funds Group is comprised of secondary advisory, primary placement and LP interest portfolio financing.
Director / VP will focus on originating and executing private equity sponsor-led secondaries, including single-asset and multi-asset continuation funds and other private equity secondary market transactions.
Private Funds Group
Citi’s Private Funds group (“PFG”) advises private equity sponsors and private equity investors (LPs) on secondary market transactions. The group is also selectively involved in primary fundraising mandates for our private equity clients.
This role will leverage past investment banking or related private equity experience to help originate and advise on secondary transactions and engage in select capital raises.
The PFG team advises leading sponsors and institutional investors on a variety of strategic transactions across the private capital spectrum, including (i) sponsor driven fund-level advisory (i.e., continuation funds, tender offers, strip sales, preferred equity), (ii) seeded fundraise and management team spin-outs, (iii) collateralized fund obligations (“CFO”), (iv) LP interest portfolio financing and (v) sell-side advisory and liquidity for LP portfolios of private equity interests. The team advises on a broad spectrum of strategies including buyout, real estate, infrastructure/power, venture, private credit and energy.
The team leverages the broader Citi franchise to offer advisory and financing solutions financial sponsors, sovereign wealth funds, and pension plans and works in close partnership with Citi’s investment banking, capital markets and private bank platforms.
