Structured Finance Analyst
The Analyst, Structured Finance will be responsible for assisting the deal team with accumulating information for loan processing, ordering reports for use in the due diligence process, preparing the credit memorandums for submission to the credit committee, and assembling complete loan files for examination by the underwriter. POSITION
We are currently seeking to recruit a Research Associate (RA) to join our Structured Finance Research Group. Based in Boston, this individual will focus on structured products across a variety of sectors. As part of the Structured Finance Research Team, the RA will work directly with Analysts to conduct quantitative and qualitative fundamental research in support of the Credit Analysts’ and Team’s research agenda. The Team: Standard & Poor’s is seeking an experienced analyst to join its Structured Finance Ratings group as an Associate in the ABS practice. The practice is responsible for credit ratings of structured products that are backed by pools of consumer and commercial assets. Associates play an important analytical and client-facing role.
The Impact: An Associate is responsible for rating a portfolio of credits and managing the end-to-end ratings process from the initial engagement through the publication of reports. The Associate will review documents, consider the legal dimensions of transaction structures, develop an understanding of and apply relevant rating criteria, assess the credit profile of collateral pools, work with financial and cash flow models to stress test the structures and enhancement levels under various economic scenarios.
